Vanessa began her dance journey at the age of three and has since trained competitively in a wide range of styles, including ballet, jazz, tap, contemporary, lyrical, modern, and Ukrainian dance. She has successfully completed all her formal ballet examinations with the Royal Academy of Dance up to the Advanced 1 level and is currently studying the Advanced 2 syllabus. In Ukrainian dance, Vanessa has progressed through the Shumka Syllabus, completing up to and including Grade 9.

She has had the honour of performing with Shumka on two occasions as a child dancer, appearing in both Shumka’s Nutcracker and the Whirlwind Summer Tour.

Vanessa is currently a Grade 10 student at St. Francis Xavier High School, trains at Shelley’s Dance Company, and is excited to be part of Studia Shumka.
