SHUMKA SUMMER DANCE CAMPS is an internationally attended program offering camps for every taste, age, and ability. Every camp has a unique Ukrainian spin on it! We inspire dancers to pursue the art of Ukrainian dance and become passionate about Ukrainian culture while making friends, having fun, and improving their abilities.
Dancers can choose from a one-week day camp experience at the Shumka Dance Centre and a one or two-week overnight adventure at the beautiful Camp Oselia, Wabamun Lake. Join hundreds of children and teens aged 3-18 from across Canada who want to DANCE HARD, PLAY HARD!
DAY CAMPS 2024

- Transportation to offsite recreational activities is provided by Shumka Summer Dance Camps.
- Camp confirmation packages are emailed to families in June, outlining a list of items to bring to camp, schedule, activity waiver forms and camp policies and processes.
- Morning and afternoon snacks are not provided at day camps, and lunch is the camper’s responsibility. Lunch is not required for Shumka Minis camps.
- Camp guidebooks and t-shirts are received at camp.
- Before and after day camp care is provided at an extra cost of $20/day and is available from 8-9 am and 4-5 pm. Registration is open on the first day of your camp. After care for Shumka Minis is not provided.
- Refunds are issued for medical reasons supported by a doctor’s note or in the case of a family emergency. Family emergencies are evaluated by SSDC on a case-by-case basis.

- Overnight Camps are held at Camp Oselia, a beautiful and comfortable summer resort located 45 minutes west of Edmonton.
- Camp confirmation packages are emailed to families in June. The package includes a list of items to bring to camp, an outline of the schedule, activity waiver forms and camp policies and processes.
- Camp guidebooks and t-shirts are received at camp.
- Videos of the camp concert, and photos from the week, are available at an extra cost and can be purchased anytime during the week.
- Refunds are issued for medical reasons supported by a doctor’s note or in the case of a family emergency. Family emergencies are evaluated by SSDC on a case-by-case basis.
- Canada Revenue Agency stipulates that GST (5%) must be charged on all camps that offer overnight supervision.
