NEW Shumka Minis Themed Ages 3-5 July 6-10, July 20-24, August 24-28
Embark on a magical, themed adventure where our youngest Shumka dancers bring Ukrainian dance, traditions, and folklore to life! Each day is packed with exciting dance, crafts, songs, stories, and games, sparking creativity and learning. As the week unfolds, campers dive into a world of culture and fun, leading up to a final concert and art showcase!
NEW Splish, Splash & Dance Ages 6-8, 9-12 July 6-10
Splish, Splash & Dance is a high-energy day camp that combines refreshing water adventures with quality Ukrainian dance training. Campers enjoy swimming, splash parks, water parks, long boarding, and a beach visit, paired with 15 hours of high-quality Ukrainian dance instruction. With games, team challenges, and creative activities throughout the week, campers stay active while building confidence and friendships.
NEW Folklab Ages 6-8, 9-12 July 20-24
Folklab is a creative, hands-on day camp where Ukrainian dance, art, and culture come together. Each day explores a different region of Ukraine through its traditions, artistic styles, and regional dancing. Campers learn from experienced instructors and guest artists who guide them through both the creative and dance components of the camp. Campers take part in activities such as making dance props, creating jewelry, floral headpieces and ribbon accessories, designing simple costume elements, and exploring Petrykivka painting, then bring their creations to life in a dance performance and art showcase.
NEW Shumka Uncharted Ages 6-8, 9-12 August 24-28
Shumka Uncharted is perfect for dancers who love adventure, discovery, and movement — on and off the stage. Campers will explore the city and outdoors through activities such as river valley hikes, mountain biking, laser tag, paint ball, the Edmonton Valley Zoo, and the Fun Park Amusement Centre, all while staying active and engaged throughout the week. Each day is balanced with 15 hours of Ukrainian dance instruction.
*Ages 6-8 camp activities: River valley hike, biking skills, laser tag, Edmonton valley zoo, Fun Park indoor amusement centre.
*Ages 9-12 camp activities: River valley hike, biking, paint ball, Edmonton valley zoo, Fun Park indoor amusement centre.
- Transportation to off site recreational activities is included.
- Day campers are responsible for their own morning and afternoon snacks, and lunch. Shumka Minis camps do not require lunch.
- Before and after-day camp care is available for $20/day from 8-9 am and 4-5 pm. Shumka Minis do not have aftercare.

Experience elite Ukrainian dance training and summer fun like never before at our overnight camps, where dancers train up to six hours daily with top instructors in two spacious studios while enjoying team challenges, water sports, lake swims, theme meals, Kolomeyka Night with the Ukrainian Shumka Dancers, great food, air-conditioned mess hall, canoes, campfires, and endless opportunities to build skills, friendships, and lifelong memories in a picture perfect summer camp setting.
Our OVERNIGHT CAMPS have a stunning new home at Camp St. Basil in Mulhurst, AB – a picture-perfect summer camp straight out of the movies! Set on a beautiful lake side, it features two spacious dance studios, a full dining hall, large dormitories, a sprawling field, canoes, and air conditioning for the perfect mix of adventure and comfort.
Refunds are granted for medical reasons with a doctor’s note or in the case of a family emergency, evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
