Joshua Pacholok began Ukrainian dancing at the age of five when he was enrolled at the Shumka School of Dance. In 2016, after a two-year break from dance, Josh returned to the studio, both nervous and eager to continue his dance journey. As Josh’s passion for dance continued to grow, he entered Shumka School’s Intensive Division where he had the opportunity to explore other genres of dance including ballet and character dance. In 2019, he graduated from the Shumka School of Dance, and was subsequently accepted as a member of the Ukrainian Shumka Dancers. The same year, Josh began instructing at the Shumka School of Dance as a Junior Instructor, later advancing to an Instructor position. Following a knee injury two years ago, Josh is excited to be making a return to both rehearsals and the classroom. Apart from dancing and instructing, he is thankful to be involved in other aspects of the organization, such as being a fourth time Camp Coordinator for Shumka Summer Dance Camps.
