He/Him
Marko Lepki has been training and performing Ukrainian dance since the age of three. Growing up with Verkhovyna School of Ukrainian Dance, he was inspired by Shumkas rendition of the Nutcracker to grow as dancer and take on the style with stronger intention and soul. This led to eventually joining Studia Shumka in 2024.
His love for dance carried him through other dance styles such as ballroom, contemporary, jazz, and more. While continuing to explore other genres, the connection to Ukrainian culture through dance always drew Marko to the art form and tradition of Ukrainian dance. He hopes for a lasting dance career and does not intend to slow down his passion for dance any time soon.
Outside of the dance world, Marko is taking a Psychology degree at the University of Alberta and plans to become a student counsellor.
