He/Him
When Maksym Kadziela was 11 years old, he began to lose interest in Ukrainian dance. But when his parents surprised him with a ticket to Shumka’s 50th Anniversary show, he was inspired to keep dancing and to expand his knowledge about Ukrainian culture and tradition. “Since that day, I made it my personal goal and worked towards joining Shumka. I am thankful that my parents, dance instructors, and Shumka, have inspired me to continue dancing.” For the last decade, Maksym has wanted to be part of the Shumka 60 Tour, inspiring younger generations of dancers, just as Shumka Dancers before his time inspired him. He has been in the company since 2017. In addition to dancing, Maksym enjoys playing sports, waking up early on Saturday mornings to watch soccer, and spending time with family.
