Katie began her Ukrainian dance journey at the age of 3 with the Shumka School of Dance, where she trained for 13 years. During that time, she had the privilege of performing in several productions with Shumka, including Shumka’s Nutcracker, Kobzar, and Ancestors & Elders. Inspired by the backstage magic and the artistry of the company members, she knew her dream was to dance with Shumka one day.

In 2024, she successfully auditioned for the company. Katie now also teaches at the Shumka School of Dance and loves sharing her knowledge and passion with the next generation of dancers. She is excited to continue celebrating and expressing her love for Ukrainian culture through performance and teaching.
