Leda began her dance training at the age of four at Dance Unlimited. Three years later she joined the Shumka School of Dance including the Enrichment and Intensive Division programs. As part of her journey through the Shumka Syllabus, she also studied contemporary movement and R.A.D. ballet. She completed her R.A.D. Intermediate Foundation (with Distinction) and Intermediate Ballet exams under the direction of Shumka School Ballet Mistress Tamsin Carreck. Leda successfully auditioned for the Ukrainian Shumka Dancers in 2018 and was made a full member seven months later. She has performed with Shumka in presentations of Ancestors & Elders, Mosquito’s Wedding and Shumka’s Nutcracker. Leda began teaching dance as part of the Junior Instructor Program at Shumka School in 2016, and is now a Tier 1 Shumka Dance Syllabus Academy certified instructor. Leda is excited to be working with young talented dancers who share the same passion for Ukrainian dance. Miss Leda’s favourite regions of Ukraine are Zakarpattia and Podillia!
