Jacob August began his dance career when he was three years old. Although he took more of an interest in the stage lights at the time, on some level, he knew Ukrainian dance was going to be a life passion. After completing all the company’s rigorous requirements over the past five years, he was accepted as a company dancer in 2020. As one of the youngest members of Shumka, Jacob strives to improve himself and looks forward to a lifetime of dance with Shumka.

With many years of experience as a junior instructor and being a first-time lead instructor, Jacob hopes to inspire those upcoming members of the Ukrainian dance community and demonstrate the importance of dance in an individual’s life.
