He/Him
Chase Senko began his dance career at the age of three, at the Thorhild Ukrainian Dance Club, alongside his three siblings. To further his dance education, his family transitioned to theShumka School of Ukrainian Dance, where Chase trained in Ukrainian, RAD ballet, and contemporary styles. Through his years in SSD, he had the pleasure of taking part as a guest in multiple Nutcrackers and Ancestors and Elders shows put on by Shumka. By not only sharing the stage with the Shumka Dancers, but having them in the front of the class to look up to, he was inspired to turn this afterschool hobby into a passion that has rapidly grown since.
Chase deepened his involvement in the dance community by attending several Shumka Summer Dance Camps, serving as a Leader-in-Training at both day and overnight camps, and later becoming a Junior Instructor. After nine years in the school, he graduated in 2025 and successfully joined Studia Shumka. He aspires to one day perform alongside his siblings in the Shumka Company.
Outside the dance studio, Chase is a Grade 11 student at Morinville Community High School, where he also serves as Student Council President. He has plans to attend the University of Alberta to pursue a career in either Engineering or Anesthesiology.
