Dr. Andrij Hornjatkevyč served on Shumka’s Board of Directors from 2014 to 2017. A retired Associate Professor of Ukrainian Studies at the U of A and an accomplished bandurist, Dr. Hornjatkevyč has continually assisted Shumka with research, translation, and other cultural consulting over the years. His eagerness to share his expertise has allowed Shumka to explore new territory through dance while honouring our heritage and traditions. Thank you, Andrij.
