A 2nd generation Shumka dancer – now Alumnist and recent recipient of a Member with Distinction Award , Wally Tarnawsky has been involved with the company in various aspects for over 30 years. Using his over 25 years of facility management experience with the Government of Alberta, he was instrumental in planning and managing the tenant improvements in SHUMKA’s new Dance Centre. He currently sings with Kappella Kyrie and the Ukrainian Male Chorus of Edmonton choirs, is an avid golfer and a passionate OILERS and ELKS fan.
